Preparation

Cut the apples in half, core and cut them into very thin slices. Put them in a bowl where you have prepared water and lemon juice. In the meantime, unroll the puff pastry and cut it widthwise into 6-8 strips of equal size. Combine the honey with the ricotta and mix well, then spread this mixture over the strips of dough. Place the slices of apple on the strips of dough so that the slices overlap slightly and that their rounded sides extend a bit from the dough. Now fold the lower edge of the dough upwards, then roll it up gently to form a small rose. Place the roses on a baking sheet and bake for 40-45 minutes at 180°C. Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve with a smile!

Edith´s Tipp:

The apple roses are at their best if enjoyed while still hot. The ricotta filling can be substituted with fruit jam or honey. For those with a real sweet tooth, we also recommend chocolate cream. Enjoy!
